Allows you to search Project, Task, and/or Award information in a variety of ways

The Expenditure-Allowability queries Main Screen gives the user a variety of ways to view expenditure types and the detail information associated with each expenditure type.
The Expenditure Type Detail Downloads link allows the user to download or view all or specified expenditure types by:
- common functional use
- expenditure status
- burden structure
The Expenditure Type Details (single query) link allows the user to view a specific expenditure type.
The Allowability Schedule link lists all CIT Allowability Schedules and then gives the user the option to view all the expenditure types or only those used by the Purchasing/Payables area, for a selected schedule.

The CIT Burden Schedule query allows users to view the burden rates associated with the various burden schedules. Burden Schedules can be searched by any or all of the following:
- Schedule name
- Schedule type - MTDC or TDC
- Schedule status - Active or Closed
If a user wants to see all CIT Burden Schedules, select Find and all schedules will be displayed

The CIT Burden Calculator can be used to determine burden dollars, if any, associated with a certain cost, based on the Expenditure Type and the Award.
An expenditure type could be subject to any combination of the following:
- Indirect cost
- Paid leave
- Staff benefits
- Tuition remission

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) restricts salary that can be paid to an individual from an NIH award or a subaward. The salary limitation, or cap, is imposed by Congress and is adjusted each calendar year. Please refer to the NIH Salary Cap Summary page for detailed information on the current rate applicable to NIH awards.
Other sponsoring agencies may impose similar salary restrictions to their awards. The Salary Cap Calculator can be used for calculating portions of salary that will be cost shared in case of such restrictions. |
FAMIS Online Work Request System

The Facility Application Management Information System (FAMIS)Online Work Request System is a self-service Web-based application tool that allows users to search for information on work orders that have already been submitted.
Security access is required to access FAMIS Online Work Request System. |

Federal awards are subject to the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Contractor Procurement System Review. Prior to the purchase of new equipment, there is a requirement to screen all current equipment to ensure that the same or similar piece of equipment is not already available to share or transfer. The amount of screening depends on the terms of the individual Award.
The Equipment Search query allows users to search the Equipment database for a specific piece of equipment. More detailed information regarding the Equipment Search can be found on the Property Services web page at: http://finance.caltech.edu/property.htm
