About the Wireless Network Refresh Project
Caltech is currently in the process of a complete wireless network refresh. This page provides information about the scope and status of that project.
Caltech is partnering with Aruba and VectorUSA to design and implement an 802.11ac wireless network. This will be a multi-year effort, encompassing new controllers, more than 2,500 additional access points, authenticated guest access, and support for Internet of Things (IoT) devices where possible.
There will be an extended period of time where both the current and the new wireless networks will be deployed on parts of campus. When you find that you are not connected to wireless, go to WiFi Settings on your device.

Newly networked buildings will be identified by the signage at the building entrance and general meeting areas. Our implementation started with student houses and is now focusing on the academic buildings. Look at the quarterly project schedule to see which buildings are next.
Once you have successfully connected to Caltech Beavernet and to Caltech Secure, your device should transition seamlessly between the networks as you move across campus.
