Static IP for Mac OS X

  1. Go to the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
  2. Under Internet and Network, select Network.
    Change the Show pop-up option to Built-in Ethernet.
  3. For Location, choose Automatic (or give this connection a name).
  4. For Show, Select Built-in Ethernet.
  5. Select the TCP/IP tab.
  6. Set Configure to Manually.
  7. Enter assigned static IP address.
  8. Enter Subnet Mask
  9. Enter Router (replace xxx with your subnet).
  10. Enter all 3 DNS Servers addresses:
  11. Click the Apply Now button, then quit the System Preferences application.
