CrowdStrike Windows Installation Instructions

To install CrowdStrike on Windows, follow these steps.

Note that administrator rights on the computer are required.

  1. Navigate to Box to obtain the installer.
  2. Log in to Box with your access.caltech account
  3. You will be taken to the CrowdStrike Installer.exe file
  4. Click on Download to download the file.

5. Click on the downloaded file notification in your browser, it may take a few seconds for the file to open. (The downloaded file may also appear in your Downloads folder) Note that you must have administrator privileges to install the file.

6. You will be prompted to enter a Customer ID, which can be found here.

7. Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Notice. Click Install.

8. After a few minutes, CrowdStrike will successfully be installed on the computer.

9. To confirm, navigate to Apps in the Settings where CrowdStrike will appear in the list of apps.
