What happens to your account after graduation? Learn about account termination, setting up an alumni account, and setting up email forwarding.
Account Termination
Graduating students' accounts are deleted annually in the fall. You will be notified four weeks before the account termination date. Then, you will receive the same notification 2 weeks prior to the account termination date.
Requesting an Alumni account
Alumni accounts are not automatically created. You must submit a request form to get one. Find the form in the link below.
Once the email has been configured, you will have the opportunity to transfer your Caltech email to your alumni email.
Graduating but remaining at Caltech?
Will you continue to be at Caltech as a staff, volunteer, graduate student, postdoc, etc.?
Notify accounts@caltech.edu for next steps to keep your account so your account can be reclassified in our systems.
Finally, don't forget to archive your email, move your personal website, and transition your club website.
