Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI)

Caltech has a new data warehouse: Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI). OBI will eventually replace the Cognos data warehouse.

The data warehouse is a collection of data from several administrative systems including:

• Grants Accounting
• Labor Distribution
• Human Resources
• Payroll
• Purchasing and Accounts Payable
• CardQuest
• TechMart
• Advance
• AiM

Cognos Transition

The last load of the Cognos financial data (i.e., Grants Accounting and Labor Distribution) was on 6/30/2021. Any reports created for the financial data are no longer supported. For financial data please use OBI instead. The HR and PO/AP data marts are still available in Cognos.
